On 18 - 20 May 2001, at George Rogers Clark Park in
Springfield, Ohio, I took part in a reenactment of the Battle of Prestonpans,
(19 September 1745), and the Battle of Culloden Moor, (16 April 1746).
Prestonpans was a resounding victory for the Stuart cause, but Culloden was a
tragic defeat, not only for the Jacobites, but also for the Highland way of
life.
On 17 - 19 May 2002, I will be a part of the fifth annual
Culloden battle reenactment and Living History encampment. The location will
once again be George Rogers Clark Park in Springfield, Ohio. Those interested
in Scottish and British military history, Highland culture, and the 1745
Jacobite Rebellion in particular, mark your calendars and plan on attending
this unique event! For more information goto Highlanders & Hanoverians.
