30 hours to liftoff.

O GOD I'VE TOO MUCH STUFF TO PACK AND/OR DISPOSE OF BEFORE I GO.

Well now that the panic attack is over, let's talk about important things.

I am going to share with you one of the reasons why technology is a wonderful thing. If you go to the Crooked Arm Pub you will be able to buy a drink for a Bridge of Allan friend (me). Bridge of Allan is the small village immediately next to the University of Stirling campus. As near as I can calculate the pub is 1 mile from campus.

[Note: ********************

On Sunday 14 Sep 03, I took the opportunity to walk into Bridge of Allan. It was a little farther than I had anticipated, more like a mile and a half plus, with the pubs and shops on the far (west) end of town. After my walk I was warm and thirsty so it seemed like a good time to checkout the Crooked Arm Pub.

NOTICE - CAUTION - WARNING - DANGER!!

When I walked into the pub and asked about the "bye a friend a drink web page" the bar maid and someone I took to be the owner said they knew nothing about it. In fact the barmaid said "people bye their own drinks around here." I hope no one sent money in anticipation of my arrival. I will investigate further and let everyone know if the scheme is legit.

A good friend, Laura Enoch, has promised to link the quantity of beer to the the quantity of good grades. With friends like Laura you can see why my desire to excel is so strong.

I had better get back to packing if I want to end up in Scotland with anything more than just my toothbrush.
